Our beginning was simple. It started when Tom Daily (Blue) and Avi Peterson (Red) met, designed and held two workshops at Deerfield Retirement Community in Asheville, NC. Our first one was a Red/Blue.

We then launched a network of like minded people who wanted to bridge the political divide. When we organized, Cathy Scott and Tom Rightmyer were elected to represent the Blue and Red Chairs, respectively.  Then Covid hit!    Since then, we have sponsored two online workshops, and about six three in person workshops.

In 2023 we reorganized with Tom Daily as the Blue Chair and Bill Altemeier.  In 2024, Sherry Warner became the Red Chair and Todd Lester became the Independent Chair, creating a three co-chair leadership structure.    At the end of 2024, Tom Daily passed the blue torch to Katie Winkler and the alliance is seeking its next red chair.
